Ready to see what Samsung’s next foldables have up their sleeves? The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 have been launched in India, and they’re bringing some seriously sleek upgrades. Here's what to expect from the future of foldable tech.

Price and configurations

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 starts at a hefty ₹ 1,49,999 while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is way easier on the wallet at ₹89,999, both are a lot more pricier than last year.

Storage-wise, the Fold 6 gives you up to 1TB, with 12GB of RAM across the board. The Flip 6 now matches that 12GB RAM, with 256GB or 512GB storage options.

Both pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, so you're getting top-tier speed either way.

Winner: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6

Same power, more RAM this year, and way cheaper? That’s a win.

Size and design

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is big—unfolded, it’s 6.04 x 5.22 inches, and still chunky when closed. It weighs 8.43 oz, a bit lighter than last year, but definitely not pocket-friendly.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 keeps things sleek. It opens vertically to 6.50 inches, then folds down to just 3.35 inches—super compact and only 6.60 oz. Way easier to carry around.

Both phones are tougher this year with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a new IP48 rating for better dust and water resistance.

Color-wise, the Fold 6 comes in silver shadow, pink, and navy, with crafted black and white via Samsung. The Flip 6 adds more fun shades like yellow, blue, mint, and even peach online.

Smaller, lighter, and just as durable—perfect for on-the-go.

Screens

Both phones have a cover screen when closed and a main display when opened—but the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 easily wins on screen space.

The Fold 6 packs a 6.3-inch Cover Screen that works like a full phone, plus a huge 7.6-inch main display inside. Both use Dynamic AMOLED 2X, support 120Hz adaptive refresh, and are tougher this year with added protective layers.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 keeps things simpler with a 3.4-inch Cover Screen (720 x 748, 60Hz) for quick glances and widgets. Open it up, and you get a 6.7-inch AMOLED main screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

Winner: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

Bigger, bolder, and built for serious multitasking.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 keeps the same setup as last year: a solid 50MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto, plus a 10MP selfie and a 4MP under-display camera for video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 finally gets a camera upgrade with a new 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP selfie—better than before, but still no match for Samsung’s S24 line.

AI photo boosts help both phones, but if cameras are your top priority, the S24 Ultra is still king.

Winner: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

More lenses, more versatility.

Battery and charging

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 sticks with a 4,400mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 gets a nice bump to 4,000mAh (up from 3,700mAh on the Flip 5). Both phones still offer 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, plus the ability to reverse-wirelessly charge smaller devices when needed.

Both devices can get up to 50% charge in about 30 minutes and a full battery can easily last a full day on regular usage. However, if you have more heavy usage with photography, videography, gaming, etc the battery might last between 8-12 hours.

Winner: Tie

Solid, reliable battery life, but neither quite matches the longevity of modern flagship phones with 6000 mAh batteries.
